dancing the city #algarve is a project by Romanian choreographer Cosmin Manolescu, a contemporary dance retreat opened to Romanian and Portuguese participants working as a format of interaction between artists, audience, urban setting and nature. The city of Faro, the beaches, streets and the shops will be become spaces for experiment, games and finally, performance. Following the retreat, Cosmin Manolescu will continue working on a new artistic project under the motto - Audience is the stage - a dancing/ walking/ exploring/ interviewing project researching the identity of a city/designated territory in an unplanned way with a complete openness to the unknown.

Credits
The retreat and the residency are co-organised by Gabriela Tudor Foundation (Bucharest) and DeVIR/CAPa. Cultural project co-funded by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund.
